Proper decoding of the gesture signals, and here the paralinguistic etiquette language is mainly discussed, is the key to successful communication. On one hand, as far as human emotionality is a universal phenomenon expressed most successfully by means of gestures and voice,on the other \u2013 the paraverbal means, facial expression and look all have not only individual and varietal character, but also universal character. new bulgarian<\/p>\n<p><strong>ADVERBIAL LEXIS IN ISTORIJA SLAVJANOBOLGARSKAJA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>Abstract.<\/strong> The paper analyzes all the adverbs used in Istorija slavjanobologarskaja by Paisij of Hilandar. The authograph of Paisij is used for this study according to its edition by Bozhidar Rajkov (1989). The semantics and syntactic peculiarities of the adverbs are discussed. Further, the adverbs culled are classi\ufb01 ed according to their semantics and function in the phrase and thus are grouped adverbs for quantity, for time, place, aim, and several others. Paisij often uses adverbs with various functions. The most frequent are adverbs expressing quality, value, and grade and this is the result of the emotional style and metaphorical wording of Paisij. There are slight difference in the collocations of the adverbs in Paisij\u2019s text and their collocations in the present-day Bulgarian literary language. Adverbs known from the modern Bulgarian literary language or those used in present-day dialects prevail in Paisij\u2019s text over the bookish Church Slavonic forms.
