Abstract. The importance of special knowledge and skills required for the personal advance of entrepreneurs and for the market success of their businesses have been recognized and studied by various researchers. It is widely accepted that the market transforms the gained personal knowledge into specific practical skills and the company profit represents the effectiveness of the management. Due to these facts three factors are considered of extreme interest – the background knowledge required to start a business, the knowledge and skills gained during managing a company and the economic outputs (results) of the structure.<\/p>\n

This article treats these possible changes in the knowledge of managers that affect their skills and strongly contribute to their professional development. The basic knowledge of managers is connected closely to the size of the enterprise. The managers of big companies are usually well educated having gained special knowledge and some expertise in the course of university education and are able to gradually transform these into the needed practical skills. On the other hand, managers of small and micro companies rarely gain their skills through education in the field of economy and management. Their careers development follows a different way – usually most have some knowledge and expertise in an entirely different field, and then, due to some specific event, their careers take a different way. Only after being recognised and after having gained some managerial skills, they might seek for education in the area of management, if it is needed or they would like. Considering the skills as a new kind of competence and accepting as a fundament the definition that knowledge is “experience, which the individuals gain through their own business activities in specific situations and the need to make choices” (Hubig, 1998) here we are trying to reveal what kind of knowledge the managers of small companies have had when starting their businesses and what  ways they  used to  upgrade this in the process of running a company.<\/p>\n

Abstract: In the present article is presented a dictionary, which has a purpose to present technical information to the students of the University of telecommunications and posts in a fast and easy to find way. The dictionary is a working software, containing two parts – user and teachers parts. The users part allows the students to search for the needed information and extracting it form a database and the teachers part helps the teachers with the importing and organizing of the terms and their descriptions in the database. With the ready application the student can find suitable proposed information from their teachers about sertain terms. This certainly would help the proper acquiring of the information and would increase the degree of understanding of the material by the students. For the development is used Java programming and management of databases. The reason for this choice is the presence of numerous technical specifications related with the elements of the project, and the support provided by the Java community.<\/p>\n

Abstract. For almost half an year at “Georgi Benkovski” Primary School effectively functions Center for Extracurricular Activities named “I know & I can”. For this short period the center was equipped with high-end machines, such as 3D printer and pen, and a number of play-and-learn tools (Open Geobord). Simultaneously were organized a number of training courses in design, prototyping and programming for students and teachers, which increased their skills for implementing high-end technologies in their work and let them to walk alone the path from idea to its realization. Decisive role in implementation of the project played a successful partnership between the school management and the Institute for the Promotion of Vocational Education and Training. This center became possible thanks to the help of Workshop for Civic Initiatives.<\/p>\n
