align=\"center\"><strong>INTEGRATION IN EAST ASIA: VISIONS OF PRC, JAPAN AND ROK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Pa21\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Abstract. <\/strong>Integration process in the region of East Asia is a relatively new phenomenon in comparison with Europe or America. The idea for deepening East-Asian regional cooperation emerged during 50s and 60s of XX century. Nevertheless, East Asian countries were not ready to take steps in that direction yet. Although a few South East Asian countries managed to establish in 1967 first successfully operating regional organization \u2013 ASEAN, real attempts for deepening regionalism and integration, including East Asian countries, appeared after the end of the Cold War.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Pa21\" style=\"text-align: left;\">This study aims to outline Beijing, Tokyo, and Seoul\u2019s basic views on development of East Asian integration and to analyze similarities and differences between them. The study is devoted to Bulgaria\u2019s role in the principal conceptions of Polish foreign policy between the two great wars. Both states functioned in a radically different geopolitical constellation of powers, however they had one similarity. Poland belonged to the major European beneficiaries of\u00a0 World War I, because due to this conflict itregainedits independence after along period of partitions. Bulgaria lost the First World War. The country had to conclude a very uncomfortable peace treaty of Neuilly-sur-Seine. But both states were in conflict with themajority of their neighbors. A unique perspective for Polish-Bulgarian cooperation was possible in the framework of thePolish conception of \u201cIntermarium\u201d Bloc. <\/strong>The common enemy of the reborn Poland and the Ukrainian People\u2019s Republic was Bolshevik Russia. On the initiative of the leaders of both countries: J\u00f3zef Pi\u0142sudski and Symon Petlura, an alliance agreement was signed between Poland and the Ukrainian People\u2019s Republic on 22 April 1920. Pi\u0142sudski treated cooperation with Ukraine as a key element of his broader plan to rebuild Eastern Europe. The result of the concluded alliance was the participation of the Ukrainian army in defense of Poland against the Bolshevik invasion in the summer of 1920. However, the great military victory was largely wasted politically because no Ukrainian state was established.
